The local history group meets weekly at the Library in the Avenue from 11 a.m to 12:30 p.m.  We generally try to touch on local topics, covering an area from say, Mow Cop to Butt Lane and Talke. Occasionally we stray over the border a bit into Stoke On Trent, or even mention Silverdale or Chesterton. Usually, if I remember to bring some milk,  we have a refreshment break, occasionally paying a small charge to cover chocolate biscuits, champagne, etc. We usually take a wide view of what local history covers; if class members wish to suggest topics, I'll do my best to follow them up.
