The longer walks group (known as the Intrepids), as the name implies, involves walks of between 4 and 7 miles most weeks throughout the year. We meet on a Tuesday morning on the top car park in Kidsgrove in order to leave by 9:30am. From there we normally drive to the walk start, and car share where needed. We usually start the walks from a pub car park. Upon our return we have lunch at the pub.

The walks are arranged a few days in advance, having kept an eye on the weather forecast, details are emailed to members giving them time to reply so lunch can be booked. 

Our walks are all within about half an hour drive, so not too far away, though occasionally we go further, like Macclesfield Forest or Dimmingsdale Valley. More local, shorter walks are organised on the last Tuesday of the month to ensure we're not late for the monthly meeting.
